This is a bit confusing, @akash08 mentioned business trip for unpaid leave out of the country, what should be the content of the letter, if they ask for any letter for that business trip. Thanks Uiqbal - I think you are using the word unpaid leave which is completely out of context.. Salary was pai...

Did you have any unpaid holidays? i.e., travel outside UK for which you were not paid in the UK. If so, what was the max you took at any one time? Regards Yes 35 ...

Now I have to meet my friend who told me they need 2 proofs for each querter for the last 2...

I am confused - why would anyone declare any holiday as being taken for serious and compelling reasons unless it is more than 180 days per year? If the absences are less than 180 days per year, then as per the current rules T1G holders do not have to give any proof - isn't that right? This is exact...

Set O - Dependant

Hi, Apology as it may be a very silly question. Just now filled up the Set(O) form and found there are only 4-5 details to be filled for dependant. Bit surprised for lack of details here as in Tier 1 there was a separate document for dependant. So, just want to confirm that I am not missing anything...

I do not have P60 for the first year since my company never gave one and I have researched this in detail. P60 is absolutely not required unless used to prove earning which hardly anyone uses bec...

Well I followed all tips and never got lucky. I used to get technical problem message between 00:00 am and 1 am and then no slot from there on. For people who are unlucky like me, I used the service of an agent who took £85 to book an appointment. All they did is to create an id for me and use that ...

well i dont think the no. of days will matter the reason is important. I have 150 days at a stretch but I am sure it will be considered. You need a strong justification for the absence. Wish you all the best. However, please do not use the word "sure" - that gives wrong infromation. If yo...

It was 104 days. I wonder whether they consider this as strong evidence, the employers fault - applying wrong application initially and reapplying with the right form!. Not within the guideline.. However, people are getting ILR nowadays very easily with significant gaps in stay!! So, you never know...

what is that number >90? Lot depends on that. If that number (days outside) is 200 you have no chance, if it is 91 you may have a chance.

Yes it would be OK, As long as you have documents to prove she was here for 2 years. >90 days is not an issue for dependant - you need not mention this anywhere.

Btw, this is August, how you are applying for ILR in July, 2012?

I do not think anyone will be able to help you unless you tell your full background. What visa you are in currently etc.? Without knowing anything .. the best guess solution is to extend your visa in the same category as you are in now. For example, if you are in Tier 1 - just go for an extension of...

Hi, Do not know if it is too early to ask but thought would ask anyway if experts have any opinion. As we know the new Life in the UK test will come in effect in the autumn - what happens to the validity of the tests passed before that? I, for example, will be eligible for ILR in December this year ...
