I think you should provide monthly salary slips of last 12 months with bank statments and employer reference letter,
For earlier years, you can provide just the P60 or employment history letter from HMRC. I didnt provide NI statement to UKBA.

I had been to Croydon PEO for wife's T1 extn. very few people, I dont know what time they close, but we were there till 12noon and there were few people after us. Hope that helps.

Hi,

I had taken advise of a solicitor and they said that its better my wife goes ahead with the tier-1 extn and I go for the ILR next year.
And my wife should apply for her ILR when she becomes eligible.

I had asked a similar query once I was returning from India, so asked the immigration officer, and the lady said that you shouldnt worry at all if you have 6 weeks left on your visa, but technically you should be allowed to enter even if you had one day left. HTH
