I also would like to confirm that the Naturalisation certificate is now taking only 5 weeks. I sent mine in the last week of Feb and I received it today.

Well - As far as I know you need to have a re-entry visa, Having Stamp 5 on Garda card doesnt exepmt you from that requirement. One of my friend got a WTAC recently for 10 years till expiry of his paaport. The visa issuing people gave only 5 years re-entry and visa and told that is maximum they can ...

Finally I was also told that they are happy with everything and the application will now be forwaded to the minister for a decession.

My time lines:
Applied: 10th March 2006 based on 5 years working visa
Asked further docs like P21: Sep 08
Asked to re-submit Marriage Affidavit: Feb 08

I applied on Dec15th 2006. Was asked for PCC on 8th of August 2008 and submitted it on 9th August 2008. Called the office roughly after a monthn and was told - "Received your correspondance and we need to complete some internal checks". Finally received the LTR today.
