As others have already mentioned, you, as an EU national, have the right to move to Ireland and to seek and to take up employment. These rights are immediately transferred to your husband provided that you are resident in Ireland with him. That said, the legal rights to live and work in Ireland are ...

You should be OK--don't lose sleep over this. I'm assuming that your partner's name appears on your child's birth cert, so I really don't foresee major difficulties. First thing to do is to familiarize yourself with this FAQ: http://www.inis.gov.ie/en/INIS/Pages/WP07000024 As you're American, you do...

I agree with Immigration Lawyer. The fact that the child has an Irish Birth Cert is not relevant in this instance. You will, of course, be required to submit it with the application, but the child is benefiting from a speedy naturalization following the naturalization of a parent. Clearly the purpos...

If yes, just fill in this form: http://www.inis.gov.ie/en/INIS/Form%209%20(Ver%203.0%20Jun%202011).pdf/Files/Form%209%20(Ver%203.0%20Jun%202011).pdf and include all the requested documents. Back before I became naturalized, I only got 1-year stamp 4 renewals as well. I never really considered kicking up a fuss about it (even though my spouse is an EU national) since my local garda station is very quiet, making the renewal process quick and easy. I would be willing to wager that in the ...

How much money do you have with you? What is the purpose of your visit? Where and with whom are you s...

Sorry to say this, but I'd rate your chances of getting your boyfriend over to Ireland between nil and slim. Even if you guys got married, it is important to realize that marriage to an Irish citizen (I'm assuming you're Irish) does not automatically confer residency rights to the non-EEA spouse. Ev...

They generally request 3 months of bank statements, pay slips and a P21 from the tax office. If you've got the above documents to hand, sure post them to INIS. The worst that'll happen is that they'll just accumulate dust until such time as a case worker clears the cobwebs from your application file...

Are you French? If so, this is what you need to read: http://vosdroits.service-public.fr/F2673.xhtml In short, (bearing in mind nothing is really 'short and simple' with French administration) 1. You must be French at the time of marriage. 2. If you are residing abroad, then you and your spouse must...

Effectively, 'Community Preference' applies for all non-Green Card level jobs. This means that before an employer can hire a non-EU national for any position, they'll have to demonstrate they've been unable to hire a suitably qualified Irish or European candidate for the job. Unfortunately, the fact that your son holds Irish nationality does not confer the right to Irish nationality to his parents.

First things first: You need to move to Ireland. Ireland removed the option of post-nuptial naturalization a few years ago. So if you want to become Irish, you'll have to move to Ireland--this includes Northern Ireland. After that, these are the requirements: Naturalisation of spouses of Irish citiz...

I can only wonder who is this Irish national who was able to speed through his/her spouse's approval in only 4 months. Nepotism and special privileges, alive and thriving.
