Try googling for life in the uk test chapter summary
according to 1000s who passed using smart study chapter summaries are better than using the official book.

why do you need a private tutor ? if you are short of time , then just read the life in the uk chapter summaries and then do the test questions available for free online.

It's fairly simple you don't need to buy anything (yes, not even the book)
there are chapter summaries which cover the salient points, online for free !

Do the exam as early as possible. Don't buy anything for the exam, all resources are available online for FREE. You don't need to buy anything,
even a fully fledged i-phone app can be had for free for the test from lifeuk.info/blog/
you don't need to read the book, but can use a summery to get an idea about the test and the app or the questions to train for the exam.

Just remember that practice is the key to passing any exam, at the same time you don't need to practice 1000s of questions in order to pass this exam. The real exam has 24 questions out of which you can afford to get 6 wrong !

Sorry to hear that she failed the Citizenship exam. Life in the UK test is a major obstacle to so many people, even though it's only 18 questions that you need to answer correctly. It's best to have another go at the exam, and apply for ILR as soon as possible.
