Don't worry! It can take a while. It may have been signed for but it still needs payment to go through and be given a number, etc etc. If you have confirmation that it was signed for then don't worry. There are people that never get confirmation. I think mine took almost two weeks.

I used my HSBC mastercard to pay in late December 08. Don't worry about the SecureCode. I didn't include that info and it was fine. If they don't ask for it on the form then I wouldn't worry. Securecode is only for internet purchases i believe...

Just on another note, if you are in Scotland or Wales you should write to your representatives for the Scottish Parliament or Welsh Assembly as well. They may not have as much sway as the MPs but they still have plenty to say. Scotland in particular has been trying to get people to immigrate and tak...

I completely agree that it seems ridiculous to apply this to extension applications. How disruptive is it to your UK employer if you have to return home? I personally work for a very small company. My employer spent thousands of pounds training me. If I had to leave it would seriously seriously effe...

I used an ISA for mine and got it approved no problem. I did make sure I had a couple of transactions every month but I am not sure if it made a difference or not... I would think that the statements should at least have transactions for interest earned each month... I would used statements and a ba...

Pakuk- The letter from the bank doesn't need transactions on it. Just the info required in the guidance.

I had a couple of months with this issue as well. I got my visa without a problem. I wouldn't worry about it. I think it is a pretty common scenario!
Just make sure the amounts correspond.

Previous Earnings Concern

I applied on the 30th of December (within the UK) and the waiting is definitely getting to me already! For previous earnings I provided banks statements and payslips for all three of my positions. The issue comes with my current job. I supplied 9 payslips for 10 months of earnings. My December paysl...

I would get a letter from your bank confirming when you opened your account as well. Further evidence that you didn't have one at the time that you got paid.

They have to understand that it is quite difficult to open a bank account when you first arrive in Britain...
