This can be got from the revenue. It's basically an outline of all your revenue, tax credits etc....alsmost like the p21. Tell your friend to sepcify to the revenue office that he needs a Notice of Assessment

Hi all got my approval letter yesterday by normal post. timeline:
applied April 2006,
asked for more documents Sept 2008,
asked for birth affidavit April 2009,
approval letter June 2009.

Application based on 5 years' work permit, had 2 penalty points and medical/GP card

I finally got through after a looong wait and got lady on the line. She was a bit vague but I managed to squeeze out of her the necessary information: basically back from guarda checks and being prepared for final submission, its on the last stage and should hear from them soon. Asked how long soon ...

there's no pint beating our heads tryign to make logic of the system...there is no logic. I know a couple of nurses and doctors in govt hospitals that still have got no reply from their application. I know people that work in clerical postions who have got it. Basically from postings here it is obvi...

my colleague and I both applied in April 1006 and gave additional information in Sept 2008. We both called just before xmas and were told that our applications were awaiting Guard clearance....and it could take anything between 3-6 months, although the lady I spoke to said I should expect a decision...

I also applied for irish naturalisation based on 5 year residence (work permit) in March 2006. I recently also got a letter requesting for following documents in : - copy of my P21 for last year (2007) - copies of my 3 most recent payslips - copies of my bank statement(s) covering the last 3 months ...
