No, that should no be a problem.

Mine was also a similar case, PDF documents, with no logo. I got it sealed and signed by HR and worked for me.

Ok he got through and is in the UK now. The officer didn't even bother "the silly stapler pin holes":)

Only questions asked was for reason in delay, for which he gave his reasons and he got through.

Thanks Pranvayu. Although it was the photo on the passport in your colleague's case, it does give some hope, that 2 small stapler pin holes in the visa shouldn't really be a matter of concern. :)

Yes he is and no it's not a cost cutting move. A work permit can't be processed for him coz he's not yet 12 months old with the company.

It was the same case for me. My company got aquired and the last two months were of the new companies, I just mentioned it in the cover letter and infact got the signatures and seal of the same HR on it. So worked out for me :)
