Passport check at STN, flight coming from DUB

Hello, On Sat 30 May I flew to Stansted airport on a flight coming from Dublin. I was quite surprised that when we arrived, we were asked to show our passports and our boarding pass. Normally, the authorities in UK airports ask for the boarding card only since there is a Free Travel Area operating b...

This is quite bad actually! I mean, even if you're foreigner, you might be registered to vote here, so they shouldn't make that comment at all. They might have thought you were a tourist (did you have a camera?)... But still, I think the comment is completely inappropriate. Anyway, I don't think Fin...

There's no dress code. But I think I might wear a suit or at least a nice shirt with a green tie! :)

The link has disapeared. But the page is still there: http://www.inis.gov.ie/en/INIS/Pages/Contact%20Details%20for%20Citizenship%20Section It looks like somebody at INIS removed the link to the page by mistake.... Or probably they're working on the page and they have taken it "offline" tem...

LuasPassenger, The cynics said this day will never come. Yes it came. A ragtag band of foreigners declaring their rights (and privileges) to be Irish based on rules set, yes you've become one of them. You've struggled for what did not seem possible before, that is what Hope is. Keep us in your hear...

[...] Just a quick Qs to all. I was just wondering if getting the indefinite residency (stamp 5/6) would speed-up things? Nop. It wouldn't make any difference at all to your naturalisation application. I asked this to INIS and they told me the naturalisation process and the "without condition ...

No sign of mine yet though. They probably managed to get tea intravenously through a continuous drip. That way they can be productive wh...

Re: London to Dublin with UK Visa

I am an Indian citizen with a multiple entry 6 month tourist visa for the UK, I read somewhere that I will not need a separate visa to enter Ireland (Dublin), I plan to go there from London. Is this true? thanks! This is not true. You DO need an Irish visa (even if you have a UK visa) to travel to ...

What about trips to the UK? I'll be travelling in 2 weeks to the UK and I will be checking in online. Do I still have to go to the Ryanair Visa/Immigration Desk? You don't need a template or a form for this. You just need to write a cover letter requesting to get the WTAC endorsement.
