Hello, I wanted to give a bit of an update. I rang INIS today and they said my application is ready to be submitted to the Minister for a decision. The tax clearance certificate is needed if your self employed. This certificate is issued by Revenue and reflects your "clearance" for the last tax year - it basically means as far as Revenue is concerned you are "clear" and good! You can apply for this Tax Clearance Certificate...

LuasPassenger If you are self-employed, then you require Notice of Assessment (NOA) i.e equivalent of P21 for PAYE. However, you cannot get 2008 NOA until you file Income tax return (F11). Hi LP, My time line is similar to yours... sent additional documents around same time.. haven't heard anything since and if i called(in Jan 09/Feb09) they told me no additional documents required. Did u send last copy as registered post? most possibly, if so... ask them on Tuesday what is happening...
