Re: Foreign Passport Lost by Royal Mail

I think the first thing to note is that, yes, it may be missing today - but it may well be on the floor of the sorting office awaiting someone to pick it up. I wouldn't count it as gone until you've given it a couple of days. In terms of getting a new passport from Ukraine - how did you get the last...

Re: Horrible experience at the NCS

I had exactly the same with regards the NCS when my wife applied. She was using the 'present 3 years earlier' rather than 'resident for 3 years' piece of the law. Had a little discussion with the lady who was determined my wife had to be resident for 3 years - but had my print out of the right law a...

Re: ILR VS UK passport

You can only hold a british passport if you are a british citizen. You cannot hold one if you have ILR. If you want a british passport - you first have to be naturalised - which means applying, meeting the right criteria and attending the ceremony. Once you have done that you can apply for a passport.

Re: Request your help on urgent basis !!!

1) You can always apply for a visa extension - whether it's granted or not is a different matter 2) Probably - if you didn't get an appeal right then you could always apply for judicial review 3) Unlikely she'd be allowed back to the UK on a visitor visa in a near time frame (e.g. next few years) - ...

Re: Applied using 2 jobs - What are the terms?

The problem here is that you have overcomplicated it. You met the requirements easily with one job - but decided to submit a second where the information couldn't possibly be considered valid by the home office. Well - guess what - they don't have written procedures in this situation - so we can onl...

It can affect it yes - if the circumstances look like they have changed and you are no longer part of a sustainable marriage.

You'll just have to hope UKBA are ok with it.

You need the payslips covering a 6 month period where the last payslip - and accompanying bank statements - are less than 28 days old. So if you only have payslips covering 5.8 months - you need the last .2 ... and the bank statement associated with it showing the pay going into the bank account. Ye...

Re: Settlement Visa refused HMRC tax

Whether or not you want to hire someone to represent you is your choice. Do you feel well placed to explain the situation, coherently and clearly and present the evidence. Are you well versed in the rules so you can argue against any necessary points the home office bring up? If the answer to those ...

Re: Combining incomes & test of subsisting marriage

Question 1 - yes you can do that - you'd be applying under both category F/G (depending) and A/B (depending). However, when combining categories F+G and A+B you have to supply the information from category A/B from the same financial period as the F/G information. So - you have to use the salary inf...

Re: Financial Requirement

The issue is that the british citizen is the one who has to meet the financial test to show they can support their foreign partner. So a british woman who is a homemaker (which they are far more likely to be statistically) cannot bring a husband from abroad. I have a particular friend who is stuck i...

Re: Financial Requirement

I agree with everything you say. My particular beef with the situation is for british women who move abroad. They are more likely to be homemakers than the men and will find it far harder to find a job on return to the UK in that circumstance than a man who has been working abroad. In the current po...

I'll just quote myself: There is no set amount he must show - if you aren't funding the trip - then he needs to show sufficient funds to a) pay for the tickets, b) pay for his and her time here. And I'll add - if you are funding the trip - he needs to show that he is living his life in his home coun...

Re: Financial Requirement

Yes - the bit you're missing is that the 10 year route for settlement has very specific requirements to meet. Check out EX-1 - that's what makes the 10 year path possible. In other words - it has to be impossible for you to relocate out of the UK. Oh - and your wife has to be in the UK in the first ...

Appeal, leave or apply for a different class of visa.

If your sponsor won't re-issue the CAS - then I think your options are the latter two.

After that - you wait for them to contact your mother and tell her to come and collect her documents - or that they will send them out.

To have a visa application completed in 10 days would be great - so have patience.
