Thank you for the links to previous discussions - so the rules are clear. There is no minimum timeframe within which you have to enter the UK on a Tier-1. However I am wondering specifically if there are any questions asked about the delay in entry at Heathrow airport? Does anyone already in the UK ...

Late entry into UK after Tier-1. Problems?

My tier-1 visa began on February 1, 2009. I am still to go to the UK; I will be leaving only in September. I know that the rules do not state an entry-time, but are there problems/questions asked at Heathrow in such cases? Does anyone have/know of any such experiences?

Thanks!

Got Tier 1 valid from Feb 09: Going a few months later

Hi All, I got my Tier 1 visa stamped a few months ago - it is valid from Feb 09. However I am still in my home country (India) and I'm thinking of going only in July or August... is there anyone here who has experience of going a few months after their validity period began? Did you face any problem...

Integra: Applying from India, Bank/Payslips from UK

Hi all, I submitted my Tier 1 application yesterday. I submitted Degree Certificate (India), Bank Statements (UK) and payslips (UK). VFS at the counter came up with a whole list of "suggested" additional documents for me to submit (but that BHC does not insist on) for Integra screening. Wh...

The real question is, is a covering letter needed at all? Doesn't the application form give you space to explain what documents you've submitted, and even for any additional information?

Previous Earnings: Some amount paid as Advance

Hi there, I have a query about my previous earnings that I hadn't considered until now: A part of my annual salary was paid to me on a prepaid card as an Advance at the beginning of my assignment. This was then deducted in equal instalments over the next 5 months, i.e. my first 5 payslips each paid ...

They will look at the date of your bank statement - 4 Nov. If the application is submitted on 13 Nov it will fall outside the 7 day limit.

Hammad:

Yes, this letter would be sufficient. Just make sure it also states that for the last 3 months the minimum maintained balance has been 2800 pounds.

Best of luck to you.

Thanks a lot Manish.

I'm going to go with your suggestion for my application; like you said there is no way for us to get UK bank statements in time, and the High Commission will (hopefully, in my case too!) understand that.

7 day rule!

Hammad/Abdik: I am in a similar situation as well. My bank account is in UK and I am now back in India. The problem with the banks in the UK is that they refuse to convey the statement to you personally/collecting from branch. I tried that myself the day before I left. They say that the ONLY way we ...
