Passport re-issue application: Indian High Commission London

Hi all,

I don't have any blank pages left on my Indian passport so need to apply for a new one. Has anyone done this at the Indian High Commission in London? What has been your experience? How long does the whole process take?

Thanks in advance.

My question: Can i show gross amount as previous earning or is it Gross amount for Tax.
Yes. Previous Earnings is the Gross Amount earned. As long as your umbrella company's payslips state a Gross Amount that's what is taken into consideration.[/quote]

Yes there is a PLACE OF BIRTH entry on the Biometric.

Not sure what the procedure is if you change that on your passport.

What checks do UKBA do of Limited Companies?

... when I apply for a Tier-1 visa? Companies House provides a 'web check' feature into which you can enter any registered company's name and it brings up their incorporation documents, accounting returns filed, etc. Companies House web check: http://wck2.companieshouse.gov.uk/a53ad051354177191a0436...

Looks good. Only other thing might be to take along your last submitted P60. If not, any other official document containing your UTR number from HMRC

In the words of the lady I talked with "if you've received the email then it's definitely confirmed"
Same here. My browser crashed too just after selecting my slot and confirming. Nothing on my UKBA login but got the email. Lady on phone confirmed that it was booked.

I have a same case, Can I ask which one is the right choice and why?
My understanding is that this question refers to the date of first use of this visa (Tier-1 initial), for which you are now applying for an extension.

Experts please can you advise if a photo with a white background accepted for extn....
Just go in to Snappy Snaps (a chain photo studio) - they have "UK Biometric" specifically put up on their walls; the photos you take care will 100% conform to the regulations.

Yes that's right. Same day. Do a search for 'Croydon PEO' in the search box. This refers to the same-day appointment centre in Croydon where people have got their visas done.

Search on this forum for 'Natwest' - lots of people face this issue, the solution generally is to go to a branch and kick up a fuss until they sign and stamp it for you. Eventually they will. Or go to another branch.

Do we really need company letterheads and stamp/seal? I mean do we need to print Payslips and Dividend Voucher on company letterhead? Do we need to sign and stamp both as director? Given you are preparing so much in advance, it would be a good idea to get made (1) company letterheaded paper and (2)...

I would second what QuickSam has said. I have been an IT contractor in the UK (moved here from India) for a few years now, and in my opinion your ability to land work depends on (1) communication (spoken english) skills, (2) assertiveness, and (3) some luck. In that order. I've known people very goo...

In full: RESTRICTED WORK NO DR/DEN TRAIN OR SPORTSPERSON The second half was explained to me by the caseworker at Croydon PEO --> No doctor or dentist in training, no sportsperson. Why the "Restricted Work" though? Does it refer just to the lines below it or is there something more? I don'...
