in that case you should look into Green card for ireland or a work permit, if the employer is willing to apply for one.
On stamp 3 you are not allowed to work, unless u get a green card or work permit.

i think this is so that to show that your spouse as your dependant, has access to the funds that you hold. if you have a bank account and she has access to that bank account, that shows that she is your dependant, and you support her... that would be my thinking...

are you even sure that the section received your correspondence? I would advise you to write in again and enquire about the status of your application. at least you would get an acknowledgement that your application was received.

If you applied in september, your decision is due March 2012.
If you applied in august, your decision is due in February.
The decision is usually issued nearly at the last day...

Stamp 4EUFAM is for spouses of EU nationals who are OTHER THAN IRISH. spouses of irish nationals are entitled to stamp 4 only.

if you are applying on the basis of being a spouse of irish national, you still have to provide the proof for the three years.
only the people applying after 5 years need to submit evidence for the last few months.

They have to acknowledge the receipt of the money first, and then they will check the application to determine if the applicant qualifies or not. Send in the EU1 form. if you feel like explaining your situation, add a cover note letter. The more documents you submit in the first intance, the better. Also get a letter from the company where you work.

In relation to the schengen visa, you have to apply to the country where you are planning to spend the most time, or the one you will enter first. that's a new thing in INIS. each person has their own person numbers. once you make an application, you will be notified of yours. leave it blank at the moment, if you don't know it yet.
