Correct me if I'm wrong. Wouldn't it be better to stick to being the dependant of your hubby's working permit rather than BOC? The reason I say this is because BOC issue has been on going for years now. If you look up the info on BOC at M'sia staronline, you will see that a lot of people are stuck h...

Hi, I don't know if you read the staronline. If you have not, please do. A lot of M'sian BOCs are stuck here. It maybe best to see if you have other options before stepping in. Just evaluate the situation after you finish reading. It's a long hard journey.

He is in this kind of situation due to ill advice ie not knowing the consequences (renounciation) therefore if he report the case to the law society and go back Malaysia, will the HO emphatize and be a little compassionate towards his case? She's not really sure herself. According to the solicitor, it's a join application with the husband. Meaning if the husband was granted ILR, she will get hers as well.

It's quite doubtful coz there is no mentioned anywhere that such rule exist. Wouldn't it just a normal spouse visa?

Still a little vague about the status for B coz his brother A got the British Citizen within a few months after he got his BOC. If BOC doesn't mean that a person can stay in the UK, does that mean it's illegal to be here at all. According to the solicitor, B can still stay here as that is his birth ...

So that means B can't do anything at present. If he travel to M'sia n being sent back to UK, he needs a letter from M'sia airport saying that he can't enter M'sia otherwise UK will not accept him.

He has been here for 5 years plus now. He is not entitle to apply for residency if he wanted to?

Dear everyone, Truly appreciate the replies. I wish I have discover this website sooner to seek for advice. It's a little late to realize that the solicitors are not entirely reliable.
