Agree with mktsoi. In general permission to remain will given (stamp on your passport) while waiting for work permit. Just make sure you have letter from your employer and copy of work permit application if you have it.

Do not enter any employment while waiting for your work permit. It is illegal.

Hi LuasPassenger mendo: I would interpret that letter as your approval letter. I am not sure, it doesn't refer to any aproval but only appointments in court, 10th and 17th of December. I'll ring them, once I am back to Ireland. I was wondering if anyone else who hasn't received the "approval l...

This is somehow very strange: - 72000 Irish passport were issues last year wolrdwide - Backlog at INIS is 16500 and the processing time for these applications will be ~ 2 years. That makes approx 9000 applications a year Are they trying to tell us that over 60000 applications have been processed ab...

I thought to be able to apply for Green Card, you need a job offer from employer first. Although job market test may not be required. is this true?

In other word, before you apply GC, you need to find your employer first.

Depends where you live - it is not an issue for people living in other counties. For Dubliners it may take further 6 months to get an appointment, oath, getting cert of naturalisation, applying for red book and finally getting it. This is after waiting for over 3 years ( 3.4 for some cases) Doing e...

Not sure if you can temporarily show that you moved to nearby county. May be rent a room at any of your friend's house in Wicklow/Kildare/Meath/Louth. The only thing is that the letter of naturalisation would come at this temporary address so it would be good if this place is reliable. Once you hav...

I know it is diffcult question to answer, but during this 6 month they only look for the Garda report and minster approval, or there is other issues checked during the 6 month after sending the additiionla docs ? I don't think they do anymore checks. look at post from last man standing (if I rememb...

I read them and I interpret them in 2 possiblity 1. You probably will not be approved if you currently don't have residence permit. 2. Or more sarcastic way, you won't be approved if you have gaps in those stamps. This uncertainty and long procesing time will only add worry among the applicant givin...

No they don't. The next thing you hear is if you have been granted or not. It is about 6 months since you sent the documents. This is about 2 months ago. Considering the back log, it will probably 7-8 months now.

does anybody know if LTR helpline has also improved?
