As an addition, I would like to add COMMISSION DECISION of 19.3.2010 Establishing the Handbook for the processing of visa applications and the modification of issued visas. This is a rule book that visa officers should follow. So for validity of visa, please see http://ec.europa.eu/dgs/home-affairs/...

Re: Do i need a visa for Czech Rep. UK ILR Holder (Spouse)

I find that different Schengen countries have different requirements for entry, this is very strange, as the idea of Schengen was suppose to be uniform entry. So Poland accept UK ILR as exemption for Schengen Visa and also accept EU "Family Member" Residence Cards Czech Rep grant port visa...

Re: Do i need a visa for Czech Rep. UK ILR Holder (Spouse)

so you dont need visa as indian passport with UK ILR and spouse of british? Here is what the TIMATIC says, the database that airlines use to check visa requirements, it says you can get a visa on arrival in Czech Republic, while strangely, it says you can travel to Poland visa free with ILR. I don'...

First a question, is the passport stamped with "Indefinite Leave to Remain in the UK" ? If so, seems the Airline Checkin staff are wrong, here is TIMATIC data https://www.timaticweb.com/cgi-bin/tim_website_client.cgi?SpecData=1&VISA=&page=visa&PASSTYPES=PASS&NA=MA&AR=GB...

Re: Visa free travel for Residence Card holder Case refer to

Well I stand corrected. I was not aware that half of the EU wished to be generous, although half are not so it's not in fact an EU-wide phenomena. I guess I learnt something new today, that Article 10 residence cards can be gained through generosity rather than through exercising Treaty rights as a...

Re: Visa free travel for Residence Card holder Case refer to

As I already said, Article 10 is indeed a rule of the Directive. Member States are NOT obliged to be generous if they do not want to be and they usually aren't, although the Directive allows them to be generous, and in rare cases they are, but that is the exception rather than the norm. The numbers...

Re: Visa free travel for Residence Card holder Case refer to

Article 10 residence cards are only granted under the free MOVEMENT Directive 2004/38/EC if the EEA sponsor has MOVED from his country to another EU country and exercises Treaty rights, as the word movement suggests. The fact that an individual Member State decides to be more generous is not a scen...

Sorry, Still no change on the TIMATIC database. So the UKBA/Home Office still have not conformed to the ECJ ruling by updating the Airline immigration requirements for entry to the UK. This means its still possible to be refused boarding without an EEA Family Permit. https://www.timaticweb.com/cgi-b...
