Re: Unfair business

pbs6vas, I'm getting the same feeling. Probably with the PBS more and more people are applying on their own which is putting these solicitors out of the business (one in which they were earning huge money for no effort). They have now found this way out. If HO is not part of this conspiracy then it ...

Instead of getting them to do it for you, why don't you just request it yourself?
Meats, can you elaborate on this, how can this be requested ?

Vinny, Thanks for your response, but any idea if the minimum 2 years requirement needs to be continuous 2 years or can these be cumulative ? For example, 18 months as dependant, then few years not as dependant and then again 6+ months as dependant before applying. Has anyone in the forum got ILR for...

Applying for ILR for dependant (wife)

Hi, I have a confusion which I have not been able to get a clarification to by reading the related info available on the UKBA site. The situation is that I'm on Tier 1 and my wife is on WP. I'll be eligible for ILR next year and my wife next to next year. This is based on our own visas. Now, if I ge...

nikip,

As this is for transitional arrangements where the applicant has been with the same employer doing the same job for which the initial leave was granted, no documents are required and hence submitted none. Only the application form and passport were sent.

2. Visa stamped - 19/05/2009
3. Docs posted by HO - 22/05/2009
4. Docs received - 28/05/2009

The initial leave (WP) was granted by the same employer for the same job.

Re: Switching to Tier 1 after Tier 2 is rejected

If extension of Tier 2 is rejected but the current visa is still valid you can apply for Tier one (even if it's 1 day before your current visa expires). You can only stay in country after your visa is expired during the appeal process. However if your current WP has expired then you will have to ap...

Switching to Tier 1 after Tier 2 is rejected

All, Is it possible to switch from within the UK to Tier 1 from Tier 2 if the Tier 2 extension gets rejected due to some reason and the current WP visa has expired before you come to know about the rejection ? I know there is a right to appeal in this situation. But not sure if you can apply a fresh...
