Re: Previous Earnings (no payslips at all)

I've worked part time as a waitress in Chinatown for a year. All my earnings are cash in hand and I have no payslips to show the amount that I have earned. My bank statements would be able to show that the money have been deposited. Is there any way for me to rely on this income to support my previ...

I managed to get my visa without having to attend the appeal hearing. The HO withdrew the case on their side. The BVC is a post-graduate diploma according to my university. Best to check with your training provider if it is the case as well.

I had to wait for 6 weeks to receive back my passport. However, it was rejected. During the appeal stage, and after it was done successfully, I had to wait a further 2 weeks for it to be returned. A was right. The time frame which the HO gives is between 4-14 weeks average. The passport will come ba...

you can only appeal if the HO offers you the right to do so. if it is only the maintenance funding documentation that caused the problem, then i think appeal will be better. submitting a fresh application will only incur you more money and you will be sending almost the same documents again. if you ...

once the HO has granted your visa, that's it. things will not work retrospectively even if the college is not in operation anymore. what is important that the visa is still valid and i doubt the immigration at the airport will ask which college's qualification did you use to apply for your visa. goo...

i second rizwan's opinion. nothing can be undone once you got a new visa if it is not a student one.

as far as i know, PSW will not be counted into the residence thing. but i don't think changing to PSW will reset the count to zero.

your MSc must still be valid at least 12 months if you are intending to apply for the PSW.

Hi all, My appeal hearing was supposedly on the 16th January 2009 but the HO withdrew the case just 2 days before the hearing. The judge then allowed my appeal and the HO granted my visa. Since then, I have been waiting until the 30th January when I decided to ring up my solicitor and asked about th...

Hi all, Great news. The Home Office has withdrawn the case and I've been granted my visa. I was supposed to attend the hearing today but I was informed by my solicitor on Wednesday that I need not attend anymore. My PSW application was previously refused on grounds of qualification (I did the BVC) i...

Appeal Hearing

Hi there, I will be attending my appeal hearing this Friday, 16th January 2009. I was wondering how did others go. Have any of you who have sought the appeal, attended any hearing yet? Care to share your experience here with all of us. I am getting nervous day by day. Wish me luck and good luck to e...

Hi A (as well as other readers), Thanks for the information. It was helpful of you. I had looked through the links you suggested and unfortunately, I couldn't find the course that I did there. Anyway, it was worth checking it up. In the mean time, I managed to get in touch with my University about t...

I contacted the relevant regulatory board for barristers as I studied the BVC. I was asked to refer back to my university as to whether the BVC is a post graduate diploma or not. So, at the end of the day, it is really depends on the university in the way they label the courses? Please advise, Front...

[URGENT]PSW application refusal on grounds of qualification

Hi there, I submitted my application on the 17th October and I received all my documents back on the 4th December only. My application was refused on grounds that my qualification is one of professional/vocational and therefore, it is not allowed. However, classmates of mine who did the same course ...
