Company directors have to file tax return every year. They are not self employed. A self employed is a person who is a sole trader or partner etc but not a limited company director. A director himself could be "employed" by their own company and get paid. You will know what arrangement you...

Re: Should I write a letter to them explaining?

The stamp was issued on my passport in Decemeber 2009 despite the fact I've acquired residence status in July 2008. So as far as I understand, I could've applied for citizenship without a residence stamp in July 2009 - after the 12 months after automatic residence was acquired. I am confused about ...

It makes no difference, as long as the things which need to be mentioned are mentioned. And before Q4sim asks, I would like to say in advance that, its ok to use blue, black or any other kind of ink. Its ok to use a ball point or a fountain pen. Its also perfectly ok if someone uses a typewriter or ...

A spouse visa is a settlement visa. Not all settlement visas are spouse visas, but all spouse visas are settlement visas. So, in a nutshell, again, a spouse visa is a settlement visa. If you call it spouse visa, its ok If you call it settlement visa, its ok. If you call it wife's visa, its ok. If yo...

One more thing, I dont think you can avail of joint fees if you and your son apply together. You are applying for naturalisation, and he is applying for registeration and I dont think with two different kind of applications you can pay joint fees. John will correct me if I am wrong.

Technically I should be able to apply immediately, right? Wrong It appears that you are not married to a british citizen, hence you have to wait 12 months from the date you got ILR, so you will qualify in May 2011. Are you sure? The OP states that he is in a civil partnership with a UK citizen. he ...

Wrong It appears that you are not married to a british citizen, hence you have to wait 12 months from the date you got ILR, so you will qualify in May 2011. Have a look at form AN. You should have put this down in a covering letter. I think they should be able to work this out themselves though. If you send a letter now, it wont harm you either.

Now the BHC delhi has jusrisdtiction over north India, you cant apply at other British Posts in India if you live in North India. I come from Delhi, obtaining copies of Birth Certificates is as easy as one two three. You should appeal the decision, and it will be a good idea if you send Birth cert w...

You can apply for ILE without Kol test. The visa will be endorsed as "KoL required". Once she is in UK, she can pass the KoL, no need to do the whole ILR process again.

Yes sure. If the first batch will be eligible in August, then the form might be available when they next update all the application forms. Your form should be available by next month. As soon as I find out that the form has come out, I will message you.

NO, your understanding is not correct. They ask you to list all unspent convictions (read the form AN carefully). Court fines get spent in 5 years, hence no need to disclose. If a ccj was made and an applicant pays it off quickly then it doesnt attract a spent period anyway. You are totally clear. Y...

First of all you son shouldn't apply for naturalisation because he doesnt need to. He was born in UK and when you got ILR he became eligible to be "registered" as a British Citizen. You can use form MN1 to register him straight away. If you get BC your wife doesnt need to fulfill 12 months...

Actually, I think you have fully answered your query yourself. You are not due for ILR for next 10 months. UKBA will make forms available on their website nearer the time. If they havent made the forms available online then there is no point rigning them as the operator will give you the standard re...

Your case was totally different. OP doesnt need to do any of that. OP already has a stamp dated 13.02.05 in his passport, and according to that OP already qualifies for BC. The question was just about the initial entry date into the UK and not about proving that OP was in UK at the beginning of qual...
