Re: Get passport delivered to a different address?

Hi folks, I made my application for passport recently and got some grief over wanting it delivered to my work address (as I am moving home soon). I had included a statement from myself about the delivery address as well as a letter from my employer (on letterhead) verifying my work address. Still, t...

Re: March 2015 Naturalization application timeline

I have also received this "outstanding policy issues" letter... I applied via NCS Islington on 01/04/15. New date is 30/12/15 (which they say they still might not meet). Amazing! P.S. 5yr T1G + 1yr ILR, and have been fully employed for more than 6 years. Bangladeshi nationality, US educati...

Re: April 2015 Naturalization application Timeline ONLY

Received an update from home office. They have sent me a letter saying they were unable to make a decision within 6 months because of "outstanding policy issues" and given me a new date of 30/12/15 (which they say they still might not meet). I guess I won't get an explanation for what thes...

Re: Clarification on ILR application 28-days rule

BTW, I did email as suggested above, and I got this response: ---- I am unable to confirm which date you are eligible to make an application for ILR. I can confirm that Tier 1 (General) applicants are required to have a five year continuous period in the UK and as long as an applicant entered the UK...

Re: Clarification on ILR application 28-days rule

Thanks for the responses guys! I didn't realize I was already eligible. I thought it was 28 days before 5th anniversary of first entry in the UK, so I was waiting till March 27th. But then a coworker (whose husband is applying for ILR as well) said that I was wrong on this and I should ask for clari...

Re: Clarification on ILR application 28-days rule

Thanks for the response. No, I was never on HSMP. I applied for Tier-1 General while I was living in the US, and my entry clearance start date (as per visa stamped on my passport) was 01-04-2009. I entered the UK for the first time on 24-04-2009.

Clarification on ILR application 28-days rule

I've been reading several thread on this forum, and elsewhere, but am still confused about when I become eligible to apply for SET(O) at a PEO. Here are my details: Tier-1 (General) approval granted: Jan 2009 Tier-1 (General) start date: 01-04-2009 Date of first entry to the UK: 24-04-2009 Tier-1 (G...

I'd also like to add that I reported my one at-fault accident back in 2003 and two speeding tickets in 2003 and 2004 (all in the US) on my VAF9 form, saying in the additional info section that I don't remember exact dates and only provided approximate fine amounts. The visa was approved in 2 days. :)

Applicants from the US - how is everything returned?

I am sending my documents to NY British Consulate. Do they return documents by UPS or FedEx or just standard mail (they charged me $12 for "mailing fee"), or do I have to send them return label for UPS/FedEx?

Thanks,

Exchange rate to be used for Maintenance funds?

Can someone tell me what exchange rate would be used for maintenance funds assessment? For example, I'm submitting statements from October '08 till current date (01/22/09) for my Bank of America account showing balances in USD. Which GBP-USD rate would be used?

PBS Appendix 1 Q 4.8

I'm confused about what to put in in the last column of this question. It says "Evidence of Earnings Provided", but there's too little space to write much there! Please see this screenshot:
