Ontario birth certificate for a parent

Hello, I am researching into the UK ancestry visa (or whatever its being called now). I have a grandmother born in Scotland, but my father was born in Ontario. We are no longer speaking, and I am finding an interesting road block. To get the visa, you must prove ancestry through birth records, but d...

I believe they are available because its public domain material. The only criminal activity I can think of related to getting his records would be 1) Falsely claiming the child is his in order to obtain citizenship for her daughter 2) Obtaining a passport for her daughter in order to remove her from...

I suspect it would be different depending on the circumstances. If you are a refugee I think it would be perfectly fine. However, if you are applying to Canada as an investor I think that would raise a few eyebrows. What would you be using the legal aid for, and what government or agency would be pa...

Well, My grandmother is still alive, and I ordered a copy of her birth certificate without her finding out. I think it would only be criminal if you were accessing his information for a criminal reason (such as identity fraud, credit card fraud etc). In this case, you are accessing his information o...

I should probably add a post script that, as long as the british national is a british national otherwise than by decent, and his name is on the birth record, i think you should just need his birth certificate.

I don't think you would actually need his passport necessarily. You would need proof of citizenship or proof of birth in the United Kingdom. Was this man born in the United Kingdom? If he was, you can order a notarized copy of his birth certificate. If he naturalized, you would need proof that natur...

The answer is NO. This is not possible. You cannot get Canadian Citizenship without living in Canada as a permanent resident for at least 3 years. Also, You will not be granted citizenship without actually moving to Canada. You must move to Canada as a permanent resident and live in Canada for three...

taking away citizenship for fraud.

Okay, I understand that Canadian Citizenship since the 70s or 80s has been next to impossible to take away, unless the citizenship was gained by fraud. Now, dont you have a requirement to tell the immigration officials about any medical conditions which might cause a burden on society? Vince Li, a m...

It sounds like you have done all the necessary work (ie obtained birth certificatesm photos etc). To find out about the potential backlog the easiest thing to do is to telephone the consulate and ask them. It would depend on what visa you are using to come to Canada. I think if its less than 10 hours a week you should be okay....but the easiest thing to to figure out which visa you are using (Permanent Resident, skilled migrant, fiance etc) and figure out what the limitations are from there

I was just thinking, and if there is a battered women's shelter in your area (or if not just go to canada411.com and look one up) you can call them and im sure they would have access to information on how to extrat oneself from an abusive relationsihp without being penalized.

I am not a lawyer or an expert, but it sounds like you have a legitimate reason to come to Canada. Your most simple way to get assistance is to contact the Canadian embassy in South Korea. http://www.international.gc.ca/missions/korea-coree/menu-eng.asp follow that link. it will have phone numbers.

I am not a lawyer, but in this circumstance I think the Ministry of Immigration will take it into account. As a resident in Canada she is covered by the Charter of Rights and Freedoms. In particular "Security of Person". She had the right to not be abusex. To deport her because of her invo...

My fathers mother (my paternal grandmother) was born in Scotland and game to Canada in the 1950s. Although she married a Canadian citizen around that time she only naturalized in the early 90s when she found she could no longer vote as a British citizen. My father was born in 1958, long before women...
