Things are moving.. Two friends of mine one applied in feb 2007 other in Jan 2006 got their approval yesterday.

Hi While Waiting, I have no experience of LTR myself. But if you are here for more than 8 yrs go for WCATT for reasons like : - Minimum documentation required ( i.e. just ur current and old expired passports) - Duration is kind off indefinite (till expiry of your passport) - Processing time is short...

Hi SashaSolar, Thats why i said, i might be wrong. Couldn't dig much about LTR online. Either ways as you mentioned, main diff is duration(LTR 5 yrs takes few months to get processed where as WCATT till expiry of passport and processing times are less than week/couple days max) and stamp 5 for WCATT...

yea than some of us have without condition as to time endoresement also... but lets not get carried away... just add two more columns ltr status a text column to add details and without condition as to time..similar text column... lets stick to main thing...citizenship tracking

Well thats been the case always for me..In countryside i always required an appointment.
But keep in mind, INIS head office do accomodate urgent request and channel them to contact ppl country wide if need be. I had to use that once and it worked.
