You need to send original passports(current and expired ones). NOT photocopies.That why application has to be sent by registered post.

Just to be clear, you got stamp 6 for whole duration of passport (i.e. expiry of passport)?

Or you got stamp 4 ??

Which stamp did you have before this?(were u on stamp 1?)

Hi AiddamSetty, Yes to get IA you need to be registered with ICAI. And for that, your application for traineeship has to accepted by one of the financial Firms(accredited by ICAI) in Ireland. Another thing there is no p60's etc required.

All i sent was:
a) a cover letter
b) all passports (expired and current)

Just to keep everyone uptodate on this thread, Without condition as to time endorsement seems to be very straight forward Process and INIS dont take long to process application. Bigups INIS for this one :P.. In my case it took just 3 days. Even as they say 10 days, its way shorter than LTR ... :) Be...

Hi AI, Yes we have to go and get our GNIB status changed.Even the letter INIS sends along with stamped passport mentions that. It be interesting see, Whether they give immigration gives gnib card till expiry of passport or what ? And does same goes for Visa also? Will get GNIB appointment first thin...

Hi Another_Immigrant,
You have to write a cover letter and send all your original passports (expired and current which have garda stamps on) with it. Therefore send it by registered post only.

Finally got a very responsive and nice lady on phone, she explained end of this month they should have garda report.
