Not a farce when you look at the rules applied across the board. So, for one, under the old work permit scheme, short term work permits were valid for one entry only. Under tier 5, and in line with PBS sponsorship across the board, a CoS needs to be matched against an application for leave to enter....

I would be cautious here. Your partner appears to enter for a short period and then stay or want to stay the maximum. How long did he say he would stay on his recent entry? If someone says i'll be here for 2 weeks but then re-enters and wants another period this undermines their credibility totally....

The £160 is for in country transfers. My point being that you should apply for your visa within a decent validity of your passport to avoid the £160 fee in the UK. Failing that you will have to return to the country of issue and get it transferred for free - at the expense of an air ticket! ECG 17...

It is all dependant on their ability to show what has changed since they applied for settlement. An application for a visit entry clearance may be best to ensure they are assessed before arrival.

The basics of the Unmarried Partner application is whether you have been in a relationship akin to marriage for at least 2 years. Based on what you have said here, it doesn't sound like it has been.

YMS Tier 5 but it depends on her age. YMS Tier 5 doesn't lead to settlement and she can't apply if she's already had a working holiday maker visa for the UK.

These are questions that can only be answered when the finite details of the PBS changes are announced. It is likely that resident workers and EU nationals will get priority over non-EU migrants and a company will have to show that neither of these can fill the position. What sector are you in? If y...

If he wants to get married in Russia, he needs to look at the Russian visa website. What is the specific question on her applying for a fiancee visa to come here? Have they considered a Visit-Marriage visa for the UK? It is all very much dependant on how long they've known each other and whether the...

Where have you seen the 28 day rule? She must enter within the validity of the visa. The longer she leaves it, the more likely she will be questioned at length on arrival. So, if she arrives a year after it was issued, they will question if she is still dependent on you or whether you are still base...

I think you have answered your own question with regards to earnings.

With regards to the agency v company issue, is the agency any way connected to the main company? Or are they separate entities? From my understanding the company will need to be your sponsor NOT the agency.

It's in your interest to have a passport valid for the duration of the visa as you'll have to pay the Home Office £160 to transfer it from your old to your new, if you lose the original passport.

It's important to remember that in a visa application, under Immigration law, the burden of proof is on the applicant and not on the Immigration Officer or Entry Clearance officer. 1.Whether you were party to your partner's past is not really relevant in law. The applicant is her, not you, and her h...
