It is what it is, I mean you can't hold a gun to your employers head and demand that he puts you down as a permanent employee, you can't provide photo's if you don't have them etc. etc. However what you have provided seems fairly comprehensive. I'd just submit the lot and hope for the best and relax...

As I understand it, once you have got the RC you can travel freely in and out of the UK, provided it is stamped in your passport. However you will of course have to comply with the visa regulations of the countries you are visiting, i.e. you would need a Schengen visa to visit EU countries as a non-...

Good news - UKBA has sent me the COA. Got through on the phone and the people were very helpful, as were the responses to the email.
Now here's hoping the rest of the process goes smoothly too....

Lost EEA2 application

Hi all, hope someone can give me some advice. My wife submitted her EEA2 application to Liverpool, by Special Delivery, and the Royal Mail have provided a proof of delivery dated the 31/01/2009. However, no sign of the COA yet...when I queried this at nwcsu@homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk I received a reply s...

Yes, the country which issues the Schengen visa and in which you will spend the most time should be the first country you visit.

Travelling to Netherlands on EEA family permit

Beware, don't let this happen to you... I am a Dutch national living in the UK. My non-EU wife currently holds a EEA family permit (i.e. not residence card). During December the Dutch embassy told us we didn't need a Schengen visa for her to visit Holland provided the EEA family permit was still val...

Submission of passports

What is the position on submitting certified copies of passport instead of originals? Is it sufficient to state in an annexure that it is needed for business travel?

Amount of funds for self sufficiency for EEA2

Does anyone know how much funds one has to have in bank account to be able to demonstrate economic self-sufficiency for getting 5-year EEA2 RC for non-EEC spouse? Thanks in advance for any tips.

I'm purely guessing, but I think you'll be ok as long as you can demonstrate that your ordinary place of residence is the UK, e.g. with kids at school, memebership of sports clubs, utility bills. Another thing to consider are the tax implications - if you spend too much time in the other country the...

Travelling with COA

Hi folks I am in the process of applying for the EEA2 for my wife and understand that a COA will be issued by the Home Office. My question is, can one travel with it? Seems to me any airline will have a problem letting my wife get on a plane to the UK without a valid visa or residence card.... Any r...
