Re: Returning Citizen

Hey Guys, I currently hold a 2 year PSW visa due to expire in 2011. I am planning to go to India for a 1 month vacation. Someone told me that a lot of people are being sent back from airport immigration due to the current economic situation. Keeping this in mind, would you advise me to go home. As ...

Re: Applying Twice for same PSW (sending a 2nd PSW)

I have applied for the PSW; but now the problem is this – issue with my Bank Statement as I do not have the £800 for the 3 month. My application is with the Home Office still awaiting consideration. will this application be considered? Can I send another application (PSW - Transition); despite t...

Re: Appeal successful but need to leave asap

Hey guys! I had my appeal hearing today and the judge told me straight away that she was going to grant the appeal. However, after looking on this forum, I am a little discouraged. I need to go home in June. Does anyone know if it is possible to travel while waiting for the letter asking for the pa...

Re: worked more than 20hrs/week on student visa during Chris

You mean, they would automatically understand that if their records show that a student has worked more than 80hrs (20 hrs X 4 weeks) in Dec or April, they would simply assume that he/she might have done it during the vacation period and not raise any eyebrow at it. Cheers. Yes, they would. You hav...

Re: worked more than 20hrs/week on student visa during Chris

Hi All, I was wondering if some one can give me advice about my situation. I'm currently doing my post graduation & work part-time, always within the 20hrs/week limit except for the months Dec'08 (over time on Christmas & Boxing day) & April'09 (on Easter day). When I send my PSW applic...

Re: Why ru misguiding Diopka

Diopka is a dumb, psychologically blind idiot, who keeps on telling one lies after the other and another making you all feel as if Home Office has supreme powers, the fact is they simply lack resources, so hand-tied are they into their books and rules and what the written protocols says, it is a jo...

If it's only 1.5 pounds short for one day, i would say they'll give you the visa. But if it does reach the appeal stage you are bound to win easily. That's not a totally correct statement. If one applies with bank statements that are short at any time within the three month period, even by 1p, a re...

Re: If the appeal reject on hearing day, what will happend n

You will not get the decision on the day (very unlikely but some judges might do), it will take 2 week to get the decision in the post. After that if you win HO will have 5 days to challenge the decision and if you lose (God Forbid) then you will have 5 days for reconsideration on the basis of erro...

Re: Need advice on Maintenance Issue - Laugh, but pls help!

Hi there. I don't think anyone in their right senses would laugh at you regadless of the reason for your refusal. A few observations (1) 1.15 pounds was short on 26th Feb 2009 (Midway through the 3 mths). However, at the time, I had income already earned from a part time job and that income was only...

There is still Tier 2 which is open graduates with a degree. How many employers, in this recession-hit financial times are willing to sponsor immigrants for Tier 2 employment. You make it seem as if it's that straight forward. The PSW was the best bet international students had to getting employmen...

Is the answer to your question not obvious? You said yourself that the rules stated that whoever applies after the 31st of March qualifies under the new rules. Your friend applied on the 30th, so I don't see what's so unclear there

Cheryl is spot on with the answers.
If you leave the UK while your appeal has not been heard and decided upon, it will be considered to have been withdrawn.
Please exercise patience because you need a great deal of it to see you through the appeal process.

Koolbone, What was your main argument with your qualification? It seems to me that very few people get refusals on cases like ours, because it is ridiculous. Well, as at the time I applied in September, I didn't have my certificate because it was before my graduation. My visa was set to expire end ...

Thank you koolbone, it is encouraging to hear that, because I still feel the same way about this whole thing, it is really unfair, and they should not get away with it. Someone mentioned that it could be because they could not prove if I had paid my fees, but it is not for them to determine that! T...
