An appeal gives you a wonderful opportunity to overturn the refusal and clear it from your immigration history while remaining legal in the UK. Like people have pointed out, the fact that you've had an account with the required balance over a period of time means you stand a good chance of winning y...

I have consulted a solicitor today who said that I can apply for an appeal next week. ...

If you decide to leave the UK, you have to do that within 28 days of the refusal. If you leave within 28 days, you will not be considered as having overstayed. On the contrary, if you decide to appeal, you must do that before the appeal deadline. If you appeal on time, your leave is extended pending...

I totally agree with Jack. You needed to have had at least £800 in your account AT ATLL times within the 3 month period. Hopefully, like Jack said, you have another account you can rely on to prove you had the funds for your appeal. All the best. BTW, Jack, keep up the good work. This forum needs m...

A witness statement is a formal document written by you (or your solicitor) to provide written evidence to support your appeal which could be used as evidence during the appeal. I've sent you a PM of an example which could help you. All the best

It's an arrangement for holders of the now discontinued IGS to be able to change to PSW and have leave to remain for an extra year (together with any IGS leave they have remaining). This transitional arrangement can only be done in the UK.

Re: PSW-REAPPLICATION

I will like to ask what you think about this case...someone sends a first application to the home office for the PSW visa, but her maintainance funds fall short of the £800. Re: PSW rejected! appeal or reapply?

My PSW application was rejected because I did not send in my degree certificate. I had not yet (and still have not) received my certificate because LSE sent it to an incomplete address. I am applying to have a new certificate sent to me asap. Should I appeal and simply bring in the certificate and ...

Like RippedOff said, there've been people on another forum who were successful with their appeals, provided they could show that they met the maintenance requirement at the day of the appeal. If you want to do this, make sure you use a solicitor. It's a risky thing if you decide to reapply now that ...
