Question about family visit visa

Hi there! Hope all the regular contributors here are doing well - and everyone else too :D I have a question in relation to bringing a family member over for a visit - If I am renting a one bedroom flat, will this cause a problem with the application? The living room is spacious enough to have a sof...

Everything is done online now which is my mum's worst nightmare  So I was wondering if I could do everything for her from here in the UK - create th...

Re: HR officer

luk1c wrote:Hi, can I use HR officer in limited company as my professional referee?
I can't see it listed in the UKBA guide but then again it is meant to be a sort of sample and not an exhaustive list.

Is there anyone else you know?

It's a grey area; for instance, when you apply for a passport, they have the same list of professionals and they specify that the person can be retired (and must have known you for 2 years); in case of BC application, they must have known you for 3 years and it doesn't say if they can be retired or...

Thanks neoseal. I'll check if their registration is valid, but like you say it's a grey area and I'd rather be on the safe side. I think I have another potential though - a sister of a friend. We only occasional meet at gatherings so we know each other but are not close friends. What sort of questio...

Does anyone know if a retired nurse would be an acceptable referee?

There seems to be no way to get in touch with the UKBA for such enquiries :?

Clarification on SET(M) application

Hi guys! I'm back again  A couple of questions for a start 1) Granted fiancee visa from 14/07/10 to 14/01/11 Entered UK on 09/09/10 Granted spouse visa from 30/11/10 to 30/11/12 If my understanding is correct, the earliest I can apply for SET(M) is 19/08/12. Is that right? 2) When I applied for...

Cheers MPH80!

I don't see why they should refuse if we have the marriage cert and my sponsor's financial docs. From what I've gathered by skimming through the FLR(M) those two seem like the most important ones.

Thanks for setting my mind at ease! :D

Need a little advice

Hi folks! Ok here is my plan... 1. I have a fiance visa. I travel to UK and then I get married in a simple civil ceremony. 2. We start paperwork on my spouse visa and also start making arrangements for our "actual" reception. It gives us enough time to make plans and ensure everyone ...

@bazzyboi : Not sure if I can help you, but as far as I know doesn't it depend on what method you specified at the time of application submission? I said I wanted to collect my stuff from the VFS centre. However there is also the option of having it all couriered to you. So I'm guessing if you took ...
