One of the requirements I see is English Language proficiency. The life in UK test I took in the pas...

Re: General Discussion During Naturalisation Application Pro

Hi, it would be great if someone could tell me that how to find out the receipt of application , is it sent by post/email by home office as reading through timelines I noticed that the date of receipt for many people is usually the next day of sending the application. I applied on 28th may by NCS t...

Re: General Discussion During Naturalisation Application Pro

Hi Guys, From your experience please can you tell me whether or not it is safe to go for a 2 month holiday immediately after applying for 'Naturalisation'? Will I need to sumbit any biometrics as a part of the application? I already hold a Biometric Residence permit (ILR). How long have we got befor...

Print the new one from online or ask the council to send you the new one.

I don't think anyone apart from the UKBA have a definitive answer for this.

Re: Entry Visa and NOT Tourist visa for visiting India

Interesting to know, however, unless one needs to travel urgently to India, I cannot see any benefit in applying for an entry visa. For the cost, OCI is a much better option in the long run unless I am missing something. That is correct. I want to travel in the next 5 weeks and OCI takes anywhere f...

Re: English language requirement - Indian degree

hi There, I was given this copy by the NCS staff when i went to enquire about the PBS calculator since the Tier 1 General was removed. Looking at the points, I think the 1st point covers all the scenarios and also there doesn't seem to be any need for NARIC comparability certificate. I will go ahea...

fwd09,
Thank you very much, not sure how I missed that last post! Thanks for providing the link to it. Sure, I will go through NCS as we need our documents for Travel. I suppose letter from UKNARIC is compulsory? I shall go through that post in detail.

I wouldn't have thought that they will verify each and every of the employment that you have listed in the Application. I believe it is for the purpose of gathering as much information as possible from you so it can used as and when necessary.

Re: Entry Visa and NOT Tourist visa for visiting India

Hi Gem,

That's interesting!

- Have you used / travelled with the entry visa?
- How long did it take to receive your visa?
- Was the Entry Visa applied for yourself alone or a family?
- I believe it is valid for 6 months. How do you renew it if necessary?

Thanks.

MN1 Citizenship Registration Application by Post

Hi, I wish to apply for my UK born daughter's citizenship registration using MN1 form through post. I know many would suggest me to use NCS. But I have no urgency or need the original documents for the time being. So I would like to save £45 by sending the application via post. My understanding is t...

What if we choose to post the MN1 application directly in post to save the NCS fee. I have no urgency for the original documents, I am happy to post them as required. So the question now again is what all documents should I send in support of my daughters' application who was born before my ILR. Any...
