Thanks Ben. Did you goto the Garda to verify the passport application before the ceremony without your CON or did you have to wait until afterwards? Did you have to goto your local Garda or did you just goto the nearest Garda station? Because my ceremony is set for 15:20 I'm not sure if I'll have ti...

Passport application at Garda

Is it correct that when I receive my CON at the ceremony I can then go right to the Garda station afterwards to verify my passport application and then right to the post office for my passport express? I might be able to take care of this all in one afternoon then, has anyone tried to take care of t...

Thank you for the quick responses. I'll get to paying the fee and sending the items back in the mail to INIS and plan on being at the ceremony on 13 December. For the passport application - do you think that a letter from INIS with my address and a letter/statement from my bank with my address suffi...

Grant Application for Certificate of Naturalisation - next??

Hello everyone on the forum, I've gotten alot of useful info on here so far from reading other posts but I have a few questions which I hope that someone people can help out with. I applied for my Naturalisation Citizenship in July 2010 and then received a letter of receipt for my application in Aug...

As mentioned above, you can drop off in person at the office mentioned, but only registered post will give you some sort of proof of delivery. I have asked if they would fill out a proof of delivery for me in person, but they said to mail it from the GPO across the Liffey if I wanted that much assur...

Does it have to be certified by a solicitor? I had to submit some documents few weeks back to Govt bodies, I just took my originals along with the color photo copies to my local garda station, and he did it for me. I was informed that it had to be a certified copy and had to go to see a notary anyw...

The question remains though-will they accept the original instead of a certified copy? Finally got through on the phone with someone today and was told that they only accept certified copies of these documents. They are not interested in the originals oddly enough as they are not returning them bac...

Good question. It does seem a little silly. I've just been emailing a solicitor here in Waterford, who will sign the Statutory Declaration on page 7 for €10 and will, at the same time, certify as true a photocopy of my birth cert and a photocopy of my marriage cert at no extra cost, providing I s...

Naturalisation Application documents question-certified

I'm eligible now to apply for citizenship through naturalisation and am in the process of filling out the application. I do have a question regarding the documents required though. My marriage certificate with EU spouse is an Irish certificate, why do they wanted a certified copy? Can I just send th...

Hi jspruit My fiancé and I are about to apply for EU1. Just wondering would you have the time to type a list of what documents you provided in your application? We are a bit confused on what to provide and are not sure if we have enough. Thanks :) Monife: The information posted by other users rega...

Approved Eu4FAM

The entire process took 5 1/2 months from start to finish. Lots of paperwork going back and forth, plus it didn't help that we moved from one apartment to another halfway through the process and they asked for a whole new set of documents with our new address on everything. Glad that it is over now ...

Approved!

Just writing to let you know that my EU4FAM has been approved after almost 6 months of paperwork with the EU Treaty Rights section at Burgh Quay. Very relieved to get this taken care of and best of luck to everyone else trying to do the same thing. The authorities ask for alot of things but stick wi...

Benefits

Thanks for the quick reply archigabe. Financially right now, I think that I have enough savings to wait off until the EU1 status comes in regarding my benefits. But do you know if I am allowed to apply for back benefits from those missed months when I go into the unemployment office? Will the unempl...
