First, as far as I know there is no official guidance about dual citizens entering or departing the UK with a British passport. I was also told this by people but in fact could not find any official guidance. Second, I was told by an immigration officer that you can show your naturalization certific...

I meant of course reducing the people who can apply for ILR.
Once you have ILR i.e. settelement that's it from their point of view as you can settle indefinitely in the country with or without evetually being a citizen.

riz20112011 - I see you are not missing any opportunity to stress yourself.
The government is now preoccupied in reducing people with ILR. For sure, nothing will happen with naturalization until July and probably much after.

You worry too much. The form does not say so. It says to mention all convictions and charges pending prosecutions. forget about it and move on.

Was the fine/points given by court or was it a fixed penalty?
What was the specific offence you committed?

(If it is a conviction in court you have no certainty of beng approved until conviction is spect- it will depend on the specific caseworker and your specific conviction)

I think you are too anxious. If there was an offence and/or points it would have been transferred to his UK driving license. You (or him) can also contact the police and enquire directly but it seems you already did that and was told there is nothing on him. You could also apply for a SAR (Subject A...

Since it was an "in country" application I don't see why the next travel is relevant. It should be like any other in-country visa extension and/or change so I beleive the day that counts is what appears on your passport or what appears in the documentation you recieved when your status was...

newbie1234 - I'm sure if desiworld ever called the home office and then will post their reply - they (HO) would just repeat the standard guidleines to him which is posted in this thread already. As far as I know, there is no way you can be absent for 300 days in the year following ILR (unless spouse...

desiworld - You are probably wasting your time or going to lose your application fee. I doubt you will recieve discretion over the absences during the 12 months prior to the naturalization request even if you still receive salary or pay NI in the UK. And also - spouses of British citizens do not nee...

The caseworker instructions provde the caseworker with discrection when it comes to a single minor offence - which seems to me to be your case. If a court issued you with a fine then you should declare it. You should explain the incident in your application and it is most likely to be approved assuming it's your only court conviction/fine.
