I beleive the child can already apply (for registration) togather with her father next month when he applies for citizenship.
No need to wait for for her and your ILR http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/briti ... thercases/
I think you summed up well all the information. If he was convicted by court then it should be declared in his application up to 5 years after the conviction (BTW - there was no fine?). Can he get away with it by not declaring? Perhaps but you can also get away with any crime or cheat. What do you e...
Has anyone applied for a passport outside UK after naturalization / registration in the UK? - Are there any unsuccessful cases you know of? - Are there any potential problems because you indicate you intend to live in the UK in your citizenship application? - Are there still interviews? Thank you Y...
NCS will ask you not to leave the UK for 5 business days after your appointment (to make sure you will be in the country when the HO recieves your application).
After that, you may travel freely
1. would it be a conflict if our marriage was registered 15 days after our twins was born? because i read it somewhere that even if one of the Parent is british ciizen by birthright, if at the time of child's birth and parents are not yet married and would need to apply for citizeship by descent? No...
i found my father's naturalisation certificate no. R1/******,catalog reference no: HO 334/****.......... :) :) :) WHAT DOES THIS MEAN??? I think that since your father naturalized and was registered in the UK before your birth that would make you a British citizen from birth. Perhaps try and apply ...
hello all... i just want to ask if my twins are already a british citizen? they were born last year (December 2011). My husband is an Australian citizen and was born in Edinburgh in 1949 and lived there until he was 14 and migrated to Australia. our twins are now australian citizen by descent and f...
You need to hold Permanent Residency (PR) status for 12 months before you apply so you probably need another year (meaning July 2013) before you can apply for citizenship..
I reccomend you apply in July 2012 for your PR confirmation certificate
Although I understand that the OP is a British citizen and this might not be relevant for him but is that also true for parents who acquired ILR and then (theoretically) lost it due to living abroad ? Can they still register their children who were born in the UK? I think not because they are not &...
OK. Let me clearify .... HUSBAND, WIFE AND KIDS.. ALL ARE BRITISH NATIONALS now.... Can they leave UK for 5 years???? and come back .. is there any residence restirctions for them??? if they want to come back after 5 years??? Yes. Relax. This was already answered. Once anyone is a British citizen h...
Correct although my comment was referring to the requirement stated for the parent to be in the UK. This is not needed. An application under 1(3) can be done anywhere in the world and there is no residential requirement for the child or the parent. Although I understand that the OP is a British cit...
The kids that were born in the UK when the parent had a work premit are not automatically British and would need to be registered under section 1 (3) but the parent must do it while still in the UK otherwise it would be too late. http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/britishcitizenship/eligibility/chil...

Unless you divorce, he can apply for BC even while you are legally separated after 3 years legal residence in the UK. Not sure this statement is accurate because I believe he would require cooperation of the British spouse (like her passport, for example) which I believe he is not likely to get in ...
Once your husband (or ex husband) received ILR then he can apply for citizenship on his own merit without any connection to you. In that case he will need to have lived in the country for at least 5 years and have ILR for at least one year. If as you claim he was still married when he married you an...
Following Jambo - You can still return to live in the UK without any restrictions since you still have a valid ILR.
If you do not intend to come and live in the UK then is British citizenship important to you?
Back then (in the 60 and 70s) the term British Citizen did not really exist in the sense it does today because it is based on a nationality law from 1981. The term used was Citizen of the UK & Colonies (CUKC) based on the 1948 nationality law. The right to abode means the right to freely move in...
So you are saying he lived in the UK during the last 60s and went back to live in India during the 70s? I think it is importnat to find out whether he also acquired the "right of abode". If so, then I beleive you are a British Citizen (by Descent) and can claim a passport because you were ...
