Hm...Thanks again for reply, they are very valuable to us :) To answer Directive, I would still be working here and even my company is originally danish, I am on UK contract since we have base here. My address will be in Denmark though, so from what I've been reading that alone should make her resid...

Thanks for answers both of you! That clears at least some of it :) Just a quick question, do we need to report to UKBA about us leaving UK as residency to make her EEA2 invalid or that just takes place the moment we change address to danish ? Just wondering if we should fill in one of those "ch...

Hello all! I am in need of advice concerning topic. Short history: I am Danish but work here as pilot for almost 8 years, wife is Croatian and she is holder of EEA2 residence card for 2 years now. We are planing to move to Denmark in couple of months and even if I will still be working here, my addr...

Just recieved my wifes recidency card today after some 2 months time. We had a bit of juggle with them regarding our marriage certificate, as they for some reason or another did not take it as being the original document from our wedding, but after sending them a letter, explaining that it was the o...

Hm, we just received another marraige certificate from Denmark, but I really dont see any difference from the one we send in first place. Except that this one is in gray while other was blue :? I also noticed on bottom of paper it says with small letters: Print system, maybe why they thought its cop...

That sounds grim, mostly since we do not want to spend a fortune traveling to London to have a certificate verified, but also since both the UK and Denmark are both member states of the Hauge convention, so they must accept the certificate as being valid. That does how ever not solve the problem whe...

We are absolutely certain that it was the original we send to the UKBA, so either they simply do not know how a Danish wedding certificate is suppose to look like, or they lost the original after making a copy them selves. This how ever we hope to consider very unlikely. We have spoken to the home o...

I work here as pilot so after marriage she came here with me (she was visiting couple of times before), so we applied from UK.

Im crossing my fingers at this point that they validate certificate as original.

Translation shouldn't be an issue, since whole ceremony including documents was in English.

So at this point, I'm really not sure what else we can do.

Danish marrige certificate

Hey folks! Wife applied via EEA2 few months ago, and today we got a phone call from Home Office about our marriage certificate not being original. Even certificate we send was original, and only one we have in our possession, they did not agree, and still asked for original. I called Danish Office a...

EEA2 section 8.

Have a quick question about section 8 in the EEA2 application. Quote: Do you or any family members included in this application have any criminal convictions in the UK or any other country (including traffic offences) or any civil judgments made against you? End quote. Does this mean "right now...

86ti, do you know if it is procedure for HO to wait 5 months before starting the application process?, was reading a bit about that in another post here. Not that it really will change anything except I wont include my passport to begin with until they ask for it, unless this actually might delay th...

We have not got so far as to thinking about jobs and education as of yet, but it is of course something she will want to have in mind in the near future. We can live of what I do, and I do not know if she can be credited for the 2 years of study at Zagreb university etc. Staying here now for her won...

Thank you Sarkany for sharing your story with us, it at least gives us a few pictures, if not grim, about our future, and we both find the not knowing what will happen, the worse part by far. We will give it careful consideration as to what to do since we might have a different option as off Decembe...

Ok, so just to get my heading correct. 1: I will need to apply for the EEA residency card (Since I am Danish), include my wife in that form as well, and when that is done, then apply for a spouse visa for her to the UK? (through the UK embassy in Croatia) 2: Or more likely, fill in the EEA applicati...

Will try to work towards the 2 year UK route spouse, as for the PR, the company I work for is Danish but I am getting my pay checks from the UK office branch, and paying taxes in the UK, so as far as they should be concerned I am living and working in the UK. Since the stamp in her passport is in re...

Had to dig into my files for the actual dates where I started working in the UK and it is not 5 years, unfortunately, I got my contract in December 2004 so that rules out PR for sure, I was working freelance the first 6 months, and I do not think that counts towards the PR. And my dear wife found th...

I agree with you assessment regarding the issue of a visa when arriving to the UK, and I have been living in the UK for about 3 years, though I have been working here for more than 5 (Use to travel from Denmark every month, 3 weeks work, 1 week off) And yes, Croatians do not need a visa to enter the...

Spouse visa application for my croatian wife.

Hi all. Just had the absolute wonderful pleasure of getting married to my Croatian girlfriend through the last 2 years or so, I will try to make this short, but I feel a little writing is in order as I can not find anything like this on the forum, at least not with this twist. I meet my wife on the ...
