I think people are mis-reading the list the HO office never published that list! The person requesting the list under FOI himself posted the list of 44 countries and asked HO to confirm the list. In both cases the HO refused to publish the list NOR confirm the list... because the list of blacklisted...

Thanks for your answers! Do i need to tick section 6.6 of the form and then provide an explanation in 6.7 for the additional 15 days? I don't really have any special circumstances to put in here. 6.6 􏰀 *I declare that, although I do not meet all of the statutory requirements for naturalisation, I b...

Re: Delaying the citizenship ceremony possible?

Has anybody done this before? I am asking this because my home co...

Re: Waiting " sucks"

Indirect discrimination perhaps, though arguably justified in the interest of national security which, generally outweighs anything else. +1 there is obviously a reason why HO has to do extra checks - I am sure they don't do it for just for fun it could also be that these countries take a longer ti...

As a matter of interest, does anyone know the validity of the biometric ID obtained through ILR once one has been naturalized. I am curious if it is still a valid form of ID. Are we expected to destroy the biometric ID or return it to UKBA/HO? Thanks in advance Can you also use it as ID proof when ...

why are you worried? the guidance clearly states who you cannot use as a referee (e.g. relative, someone that works for HO) .. as long as they do not fall into this category there are no issues - they can be friend, colleague, etc

there is no need to send any PR documentation nor the ILR Biometric card

if you are applying for passport by way of naturalisation then you just need to send your current passport and your citizenship certificate

It certainly made documenting my travel over the last 5 / 3 years for the ILR / Nat applications quite a task. Simple answer: there are two different letters. One comes from HO and the other one from the council However, to complicate matters.. It differs council by council. E.g. if you live in Islington then the approval letter tells you that YOU should contact the council on 020xxxxxx to schedule your cere...
