Going by the below email, it means that all extension applications will be affected.... No it doesn't, it contradicts it's self. First it says: "will not require current HSMP holders (that is individuals who applied before the introduction of the Tier 1 general) to re-apply under the new rules...

Good news, No need to worry guys,just spoken to WP,and they said it is not affected anyone inside the uk,only for those who are applying for ist time,as Hsmp replaced by Tier 1,so they are extending its stay. Certainly, a very bad news for prospective applicants. I was planning to apply for Tier 1 by the end of Feb, but now i have started to think over it again and again. Why? The changes don't come in until April, if you apply by feb you will be judged under the current set of rules.. Then you at least...

Letter sent to my local MP (Islington).. these changes are very unfair, and will affect the majority of HSMP holders. Hopefully if enough of us raise the issue through the correct channels we will get heard.
