Hi, I applied for HSMP to Teir1 extension on 1st April 2009, When I called on 18th May 2009 status is "awaiting consideration" When i called today ( 20th May) , they said they have posted the package to me, when I asked what is the result whether it is approved or not. they refused to tell...

My visa is expired on 23 April 09 , i have applied for extension on 1st April 09 , When I called today still awaiting consideration..

So better to apply two months in advance

When is your visa expired?
You can legally stay for 28 days after visa expires. if you are within 28 days then I would suggest apply for extension again.

Did they send any letter to apply back with so and so days as your visa is expired like that

While Emailing send the scanned copy of the application form page with tick on not recieved public funds and also attach a scanned copy of letter in writing to consider that with ur signature onit..

you will win the case as you have sufficent funds in savings account. in the worst case, you can legally stay for 28 days after your visa expires.
with in that 28 period apply fresh teir1 again..

Application Posted on April1st but money not deducted...

I have posted my extension application on April 1st at 13:20 via Royalmail Specialdelivery.
Status tracker on Royalmail shows it is delivered but money is not deducted from my debit card account till now,

any idea please how long it takes to deduct the money

Yes thanks, As I am maintaning balance from 29th Dec onwards, I will submit my app on April 1st. so past three months should be Jan 1-31 , Feb-1-28 , March 1-31.

so I still have balance on 30th and 31st of December.. who would be safe..
