Confused? Don't be. We all know that Bachelor degree no longer has any points for initial application but still 30 points for extension (that's including Tier 1 and HSMP extension)

Case closed.

Relax people. I also got an email from Home Office saying that HSMP won't be affected. This time it says it very clearly that HSMP -> Tier 1 will be evaluated based on the old rule.

I think it's OK.

I think from this past few days I'm becoming more confident that this new change will not affect existing HSMP / Tier 1 holders seeking to extend. So I think we all can breath a collective sigh of relief for now. Until we see otherwise, I will assume that this won't affect us.

Some of us can't. Maintenance funds, not enough prior income etc.

It's not official and we have had contradicting responses from HO. For what it's worth, I've emailed Home Office (on the *new* email address) and they still haven't replied. If they know what's happening I can't see any reason why they wouldn't reply by now. Or maybe they are just swamped with the t...

As far as I know PG Dip is not classified as a master degree in UK. NARIC is final authority here. I suspect it's a mistake in UKBA website, but don't quote me on this, I could and may well be mistaken. Hi guys, I am on the same boat, has my Postgrad Dipmola but get the same 30 points as my Batchel...

LOOK guys, nothing will happened to existing hsmp holders. Applying early creates problem,as now a days plenty applying just for safe side. sit back and relax. The thing is how you can be so sure when Home Office themselves don't know what is happening? I'm just hedging my bets that's all. Just in c...

Right it's obvious that no one in Home Office call centre really knows what's going on. We just to wait and see guys. While preparing in case that it does apply for extension as well and submit your application ASAP. I'm just afraid that this new rule will trigger a glut of Tier 1 submission that wi...

I think there's nothing you can do apart from writing to NARIC and they will investigate if your PG Dip is really an equivalent of a master degree that is the same standard in UK.
