I'm with PaperPusher on this one. I think it's the date the application is actually approved and the vignette is placed in your passport.

Problem sending private message

I've just tried to send a private message, but have noticed the message is in my outbox, not in my sent items box.

Is that normal? I mean, has it been sent, or is there a problem?

Thanks

I aggree with the previous two posters - best thing really is to get some good legal advice from an employment lawyer. It might just be a case of finding out if 'being an overstayer in the past' is actually written somewhere as a fair ground for dismissal.

Hi there

I'd suggest that you call them on 0870 606 7766, and explain the situation. See what they say.

name misspelt

Hello Saliha Sorry to hear that. I would say that first you need to make sure that really is an error. How is your name spelt in your passport? Not on the endorsement, but on the details page of your passport? If it is Lidda lui , that is the reason why they have also used that spelling on the endor...

Form AN - Section 2 - Date and place of first arrival

Dear forum colleagues My question is a bit tricky and I understand that there may not be a definite answer, but I'd still like to hear your opinions, especially if you have experienced a similar issue. Section 2.1 of Form AN asks for date and place of first arrival in the UK . Page 16 of the Guide A...

Hello akundal I hope you have received some good news from the Home Office by now, but just in case you haven't I'd like to tell you that you should not need worry unless you have received bad news. Applications take time to process. Your application was accepted as valid and payment taken. If there...

Form AN - Details of partner in naturalisation application

Dear all Do you know why they ask for details of partner in sections 1.31 to 1.36 of the Form AN? Page 15 of the Guide AN says: "To help us determine your eligibility for naturalisation we need to know a little about your partner, if you have one..." I cannot really understand how ' knowin...
