Hi Nkemprecious,

Self employed will be good for your application if you will not be getting back to work allowance, RAS e.t.c, as these are all social welfare payments in different forms.

Thanks salem. My greatest joy is knowing that I can travel to over 154 countries without visa and not queuing up in GNIB for renewal. The last time I renewed my residency was in 2007, and I must say, it was a nightmere. Paid 100 euro and was the only time I had to pay. I hope you get your residence ...

I really feel the pain of those who have genuinely contributed to the economy (not depending on welfare) of this country, and who have not been treated the right way. As for those who have not contributed in anyway to this economy since they were given residency, I don't think I have any pitty whats...

Hi Korpy, I can tell you that your son's application will not be processed or rather will be sent back when your application process begins. this is due to the fact that one of you (wife or husband) must have been naturalised before he can make his application. Since he is now an adult, he will have...

Obie, Are you really sure about your reply on this topic, or have you seen any minor naturalised through this process? One thing you should be aware of by now is that, this is Ireland, they could be saying one thing in their law and be saying a different thing when it comes to applying it.

I had my passport application form approved yesterday. I submitted a copy of a birth affidavit, as the original was submitted to INIS. Also included was my marriage cert and the application form. Hope this helps.

Here is my timeline: My initial application was made in Jan 2007. This was sent back to me due to the fact that it was not witnessed properly by the commisioner of oath. I re-applied in April 2007, and got a reference number in May 07. Asked for documentation in July 08 (only birth certificate). Cal...

Taking Fidelity Oath outside Dublin

Just a quick question on the fidelity oath, has anyone taken the oath outside Dublin even though they are resident in Dublin?
