Re: Waiting

Hi, Ramesh & other experts I just called up HO and it says "Waiting for consideration", I am having same status since last 15 days. I also noticed from this forum that sending UTF also won't speed up any processing. Any idea what people should be doing in this case waiting for more th...

Banks have their own ways of operating. They have rules about what they can and cannot do. My motto is, if something's big enough to bother you (and won’t have any adverse effect on your application), try your best to rectify it. Ask the bank to print a letter including the bank balance in it. If ...

I don't think they are very accurate with updating. Sometimes they say the application is under consideration and then the visa is in the mailbox when you get home.

The responses I am aware of are: 1. Awaiting consideration: Waiting to be allocated for someone to look at 2. Under consideration: Being worked on currently 3. Awaiting further consideration: Has been looked at, but they need to do some further work eg. waiting for background checks, waiting for the...

That's the sad thing, kingfahad 35, it takes just one to two weeks abroad. I'd just take a holiday to see folks back home and get the visa at the same time. However, there is a nightmare of something going wrong and ending up stuck in home country with angry employers here wondering why you've exten...

I think the delay in response could be that your question is very long and a bit difficult to understand. Maybe you want to summarize and/or reframe it?

Student (finished masters degree) --> tier 1 (G)
Sounds depressing! Thanks for the response, though, Tapindersingh.

Hi All, I currently have WP which expires in sep 2009. I was thinking of applying for Tier1 in June 2009, but heard about changes in visa rules from april. Student to Tier 1 (G) UK: Does it Really Take Forever???

I'll soon be celebrating the 9th week anniversary of sending my poor passport off to the Home Office. I'm suspecting my reasons for such an opportunity to felicitate are that I am switching from a student to Tier 1 G and have home earnings. So I've been waiting and waiting and waiting.... I'm sure m...

Hello hsmp_sachin

Stored between the lines of shivuu006's post is excellent advice. Email or phone HO to clarify EXACTLY what kind of offenses should or should not be mentioned. A letter is better so you have proof of correspondence. Their response will let you know the next step to take.

I think it would be difficult for them accounting-wise to reset too often. In a recession, with world currency rates (esp. the dollar) soaring and diving every time a politician gives a speech, it wouldn't be easy to be accurate every day!

The last year i had applied for a student extension it took 5 months for them to decide. That is 4 months on top of my previous expiry. I know there are ppl here who applied in...
