I'm not sure if that is sufficient or not.
But you might want to get backup documents just in case - the payroll dept can write a summary on letterheaded paper stating how long you have worked there, what you've earned etc.

The appointment system is worked up in a funny way. If you book as a couple, there are no Croydon dates, but if you do it individually, lots of dates come flying out of nowhere.
