Do I need to return home to apply?

I have a bit of a confusing situation, but I'm hoping someone can help me out. I'm currently studying in the UK on student entry clearance. I already have a Bachelor's degree from a US university. I have a job offer here in the UK, and they want to sponsor me. However, my studies will not be 'comple...

If application is turned down....

Hey all, I was offered a job where the employer is willing to sponsor me. I am currently on student entry clearance, but in order to apply for the Tier 2 visa, I will have to return home (US) to apply. This will happen during my time still as a student (writing up my dissertation). The reason I have...

This is all so complicated and feel your pain. The place that offered me a job is large in scale, so they were familiar with the plan, but getting information in general has been a struggle. I haven't really learned much since that last post, except that I can't get my Tier 1 post study before my jo...

However, I have a job offer (which would start in September), which I can't currently accept under my student entry clearance. I'm trying to figure...

Switching from student to Tier 2

I am currently a masters student, here on student entry clearance, who hands in her last assignment at the end of August and will officially graduate in December of this year. However, I have a job offer that starts in September and they are willing to sponsor me. I will have to be on my Tier 2 visa...

Great, thank you - I will try that!! I was concerned because it says I can not take on a permanent job while on student entry clearance. I've gotten conflicting advice on whether or not I can even accept a contract while on SEC. So confusing!

Switching from student entry clearance to PSW...need hel!

Hello! I'm hoping someone can help me. I'm living in London as a student with student entry clearance. My dissertation gets handed in 30 August, but my final certificate will not be available until approx. November. I was accepted into a graduate scheme here in the city, which starts 14 September. I...
