Re: Staying for 5 months on family visitor visa

Travel insurance springs to mind! If it is an emergency, of course attending A&E is free, any additional treatment you may require will need to be paid. This is what Travel insurances are for! They cost roughly £50 for a 4 month stay, but quite useful in those unforeseen circumstances. Moreover,...

Re: Family Visitor Visa - Incorrect Application (Screwed?)

I am not an expert, but given that you have provided copies of your immigration status in the UK including your wife's, you will be okay. Based on my past experience, if you are more transparent with your background and intentions, you will not have any problem with the visit visa.

Re: Visitor Visa - visitor marriage certificate

I am guessing you are from India, (pardon me if I am wrong). If I am right, your brother could try and get an Affidavit for Marriage certificate. There are usually plenty of notary officials around the regional/high court, who would help you with this for a small charge. you can use this document as...

Re: Need visa to Attend a wedding in UK

I think the agents are talking about the invitation letter. As you are apply for the UK visa, this letter (inviting you for the wedding) has to come from the British citizen. They wont have to provide any financial detials, or proof of accommodation. They can simply attach a letter (addressed to the...

Re: AN form query

I am in the same boat as you, got ILR last year. When applied through NCS, the lady insisted that we provide the evidence (Just in case). If you have the evidence that you used for ILR, there is no harm in including it. With regards to the referees, it is sufficient if they just mention their profes...

Re: application fees confusion!!

As it now says in the AN guidance, if you have previously given Biometric (for ILR) and have been issued a BRP already, you will NOT have to submit biometrics again. It is those who have never submitted biometrics, that will have to do so when they apply for naturalisation. The guide also say that t...

Fee increase April 2015 and Naturalisation application

Here is the background, My wife and I got our ILR (same day PEO) on 4th April 2014 and are in the process of getting our application for BC ready. As the HO is about to increase the fees (yet again), we are thinking of applying through NCS on Saturday, 4th April (fee goes up on 6th April). Would thi...

Question about BC application

Sorry for being so naive. My wife and I were granted ILR on 4th April 2014 along with our UK born son and hence we can apply for naturalisation on or after 4th April 2015 (am i right?) I am assuming both myself and wife would each submit the AN forms (separately) and submit a MN1 for our son as he w...

Re: ILR and Maternity

Just for your reassurance, my wife had her ILR approved in April 2014, while still on Maternity leave. Her Maternity leave started in August 2013 and she showed earnings from August 2012 to July 2013, but she also had to provide evidence for the maternity leave period, i.e. payslips showing Statutor...

Re: ILR - SET(O) - Evidence for reason of absence

If the absence is less than 180 days per year, you wont need to present additional evidence. I had a total of around 55 days in 5 years, only presented a letter from employer confirming that these are paid annual leave and I was employed during this period. I did not submit any other letter/evidence...

I understand your frustration, but this might help. You can find freephone/landline numbers for most companies. Just search for DX secure, you will find tons of alternative free numbers.

ILR Success - Solihull PEO with 2 dependants

ILR approved today at Solihull PEO with 2 dependants. It took less than 2 hours in total. I've been with the same employer for the last 5 years, so submitted the standard documents only. I used my expired IELTS for KOLL. The staff at the PEO were very friendly and helpful. Would higly recommend payi...

Re: Family visist visa for parents

How long are you planning to invite them for? If it for a few weeks, you can book a b&b locally and show this for accommodation. If I were you, I would look into moving to a 2-bed house before sponsoring them. I wouldn't want to risk visa rejection the first time they apply and go through the pr...

Re: Clarification on ILR application 28-days rule

Thanks for the response. No, I was never on HSMP. I applied for Tier-1 General while I was living in the US, and my entry clearance start date (as per visa stamped on my passport) was 01-04-2009. I entered the UK for the first time on 24-04-2009. Please double check with seniors here. But I believe...

Could you please clarify if you were on HSMP initially? Because, for Tier 1, the date you are granted is the date the visa is issued and then you will have a entry to UK date.

There is no harm in including your degree certificate if you have it. Since you are going to a PEO you can take it with you and see if they ask for it
