I think if both parents are visiting at the same time, your application will be scrutinized more compared to one of them travelling alone regardless of the purpose of visit. We only sent a photocopy of the tenancy agreement, but sent original council tax bill. Travel insurance is not listed in UKBA ...

Just wanted to add my mother applied for General Visit Visa on 16th May @ Chennai and received her passport with visa stamped by courier yesterday. Her visa is valid from 29th May 2013, so I am assuming they made the decision on 28th May 2013, which is around 8 working days...! :D

Its the general visit visa that we applied for, as you need to be a UKcitizen or ILR for family visit visa. I guess the fact I explained about my father and grandmother did the trick and looks like the visa officer was also sympathetic towards pregnancy... The docs i submitted are Invitation/cover l...

My husband (Tier 1 partner) and I were the sole sponsor for the mother's visit. I want to highlight the fact that my mother is...

Does your letter give you an option to go to a PEO? I thought from March 2012, post offices are the only option to register biometrics.

Re: Is Biometric for Tier 1 Gen Extension at PO a paid servi

Now Tier 1 General Extension applicants can provide their Biometrics at Post Offices across UK. I checked for my nearest PO and found that they charge £19.20 per person. I want to know whether Tier 1 general extension is exempted from this charge or not? Why would you think Tier 1 general extension...

UKBA too busy to update the processing timelines

It looks like some people who gave biometrics on 21st and 23rd March have received their Docs and BRPs... It can't be just an isolated case... Perhaps, the UKBA is too busy dealing with our applications that they dont have time to update their processing timelines date on their website. See evidence...
