You can submit your application through any NCS, but the citizenship ceremony will have to be done through the council where you live. I personally used Braintree NCS as it is easier to get to, but my ceremony is in Ipswich (under my council, but further away from where I live)

Dont pay too much attention to what they say? they will try and give you any excuse... NCS will only photocopy your original documents that they will return to you. It is up to you to make copies of your applications, LIUK test certificate etc.

My mp got back to us saying our applications will be processed shortly and cannot confirm any timeline - just like the email and letter from HO.

What we need is not an update but transparency on the application process. they could enable this by letting applicant to access the database, similar to what we get when we apply for a UK entry clearance from outside the UK.

Didn't we see approvals from 1st or 2nd week of April recently? I am pretty hopeful we will hear by the end of this month.

I dont see why it should affect you. Your employment as such has no bearing on naturalisation. Even change in employer need not be notified. Referee's job change, I dont think you need to worry about that either.
