Re: Can revokation of Indian passport impact citizenship app

It shouldnt do! To apply for UK passport you would have to surrender the Indian one anyway so keep hold of the letter and once you are hopefully approved, send that letter with ur indian passport along woth the application form so they can see the passport has been cancelled/revoked same thing real...

Re: General questions on becoming British

Well just for my knowledge really. I wondered how the UK immigration officer will know how many days I spent out of the country since there is no entry or exit stamp on my passport each time I make the trip and return to UK. Are they just taking my word for it when I say I was away for X amount of ...

Re: April 2015 Naturalization application Timeline ONLY

At the risk of being rude, there have been way too many pointless posts on this board. It is supposed to be for TIMELINES ONLY . No one cares about the posts about “I applied on the 2nd of April…and still waiting too” or “I looked at the March timeline….” Those are completely useless. Just post the...

Re: March 2015 Naturalization application timeline

I applied 30 March as a family (2 Adults + 1 Kid). I am self employed. Still waiting for communication from HO. We are already seeing a pattern in April approvals. My theory is HO like to clear as many applicants as possible before the 6 month deadline. obviously sorting out single applicants easie...

Re: April 2015 Naturalization application Timeline ONLY

Quick question for those who have received their approvals. I applied on 8th April along with my wife (AN) and son (MN1). just curious to know whether those who received approvals applied on their own or as a family. Does applying as a family have any impact on time it takes to process? yes thats a...

Re: April 2015 Naturalization application Timeline ONLY

Hi All, I may have to move to another part of the UK in 4 weeks. This means I may be hundreds of miles from the Local NCS council where I put in my Nationality application. This is just another tool to verify the applicant's identification, that's all. They just want to make sure you are who you claim you are! Once you receive your British citizenship, they will delete your biometric data supposedly.

Re: April 2015 Naturalization application Timeline ONLY

Bear in mind the approval for the April applicant is before the biometrics was introduced. Take that with a pinch of salt as majority of April applicants are under the new BRP rule. Until someone with the BRP applicant has received approval just sit tight and chill. Why are you so pessimistic? It w...

Re: April 2015 Naturalization application Timeline ONLY

I have a feeling that early April 15 applicants will start getting updates from next week onwards. I noticed a couple of them have had communications this week (one rejected for failure to pay right fee, and another to submit biometrics again) and this could mean they have started looking at April a...

Re: Documents Required for Visitor Visa

If you are going to mention the pregnancy on the application, do make it clear that this is not a childcare arrangment and your wife has maternity leave (if working, provide evidence as a letter from employer).

Also get a travel insurance for the person(s) visiting.

Re: Family visitor visa rejected for In laws..

Firstly, mentioning about asking someone to come over to the UK to help you on something have always been a no-no. Unfortunately, since you have now mentioned this it will be very difficult to change it now which would mean your next application will likely be refused as well. Secondly, always back...

Re: Family Visitor visa applicant: help needed

How about close relatives or siblings of your MIL. If they are close by, you could get them to confirm on a letter with some ID. This will add further weightage to family ties. Also is your brother in law, married? Kids? Put that all down on paper. Get a dramatic story together and be honest and tra...
