Good News! The visa arrived yesterday afternoon (as you said 3 days) and has been approved! Thank you so much for your help, it was a tremendous reassurance to find out that you had had similar difficult dealings with Worldbridge - what a crazy system! Anyway, it's all good now and we can finally st...

Thank you - you've helped to put my mind at ease. I don't think the courier will arrive today now so probably (hopefully!) be tomorrow so I will let you know.

Thanks

Grazie mille, sei molto gentile. Did your friend not require an interview? Even though we provided all the documents they requested we assumed it would be part of the process to be interviewed. I'm so worried - all logic has gone out the window now. I can't believe that they don't contact people as ...

Oh I hope so! We paid for the DHL service as my husband lives in Garda so it meant he wouldn't have to travel back to Rome. My hubby and his brother are going to stay in the house all day! Fingers crossed. Thank you so much for taking the time to reply. I will let you know when we hear anything. Tha...

Status Change - 'With courier. Attempting delivery'

Hi Everyone, My husband's status has changed today on the Worldbridge (Rome) tracking system. After 37 working days, it now says 'With courier. Attempting delivery'. We are keeping everything crossed but just worried because my husband has not had any calls, emails, or been called for an interview. ...

Update! This morning the status on the Worldbridge website changed to "With Courier, Attempting Delivery" so the decision has been made finally. We just don't know what it is! We have waited 37 working days for this decision but my husband has not received any calls, emails, or had an inte...

Hi Richard66, Hope your plans are coming along now that you've got your visa. Needless to say I am still demented waiting for news from Rome. I received an email last Thursday, after complaining via email, to say that the application was still under consideration and we would have a response in the ...

Hi Mirnat, Thank you for the advice. I think the the delay must be coming from the Albanian side as there is no reason for this delay. We supplied all the paperwork required and more, we're clearly in a real and very happy relationship, all our family attended the wedding, I'm financial stable, empl...

Hi Richard, I'm not based in Rome (unfortunately!) My husband and I have been in a long distance relationship for a couple of years. We talked about me moving to Italy but the job prospects are a bit grim so decided on the UK as I'm in full-time employment here so had to be a settlement visa. The pr...

Hi Richard66,

Can I just ask have you applied for spouse settlement visa from Rome? I am currently waiting for my husband to be issued with a settlement visa from there and am wondering how long it might take - we're on 35 working days today.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks again for your help. I do feel guilty complaining when some people have wait a very long time but we just thought we wouldn't have a problem and the wait has come as a bit of a shock. I'm gauging from your reply that you think the hold-up may be from the Albanian side - we did have a horrendo...

Thank you for your reply and kind wishes. I love being married! We just need to be together now!

I take it you applied in Rome? If so, it looks like their stats (that I have held so much hope in) are way off.
Can i just ask did you have to go for an interview?

My husband is Albanian but has lived in Italy for many years and has permanent residence there. We met when I was on holiday in Sorrento in...
