Tier 1 extension query

My husband has a tier 1 visa and his renewal will be complicated. He's a self-employed contractor for a couple of companies, and he's also an officer of a company incorporated in the States (this happened since he got the visa). We're paying taxes in the UK on his income. So does anyone know -- if t...

contractor's letter

Sorry to bug you, but could either of you guys who has used a letter successfully send me a copy? Our accountant is going out of town Thursday and he needs to sign it before my husband's appointment at the consulate Monday morning.
Thanks.

accountant's letter for contractor

Thanks.
You mention salary. Did you apply as a contractor or an employee? And did you provide a month to month breakdown of gross and net?

accountant's letter for contractor

Has anyone applied successfully for Tier 1 (G) as a contractor and used an accountant's letter? There is very little guidance about what that letter (as opposed to the self-employed letter) should say. Can you share an example of a successful accountant's letter? I've searched the forum and found pe...

a bank stamp??

My husband will apply for the Tier 1 general visa and he has two original signed letters on letterhead from two banks, each of which certifies that he has had sufficient maintenance funds in each account for the past three months. But our banks don't have an "official stamp." Has anyone el...

online application for tier 1 partner

I had the same questions about the form. I filled them out as best I could and noted my confusion in the "other info" box. My appointment at the consulate is in three days. Since you posted your question in January, I assume you've gone through the process? How did it go? Those irrelevant ...

need passport to travel

My husband had a similar problem. He's an American citizen living in Prague, and the embassy here issued him a second passport so he could submit his original with the application.

tier 1: should applicant and dependent apply together

The border agency recommends that my husband (the applicant) and I (dependent) apply together, but it's so expensive that we're thinking of having him apply first and then submitting my application only if his is successful. Does anyone have any thoughts on whether this would affect our chances of b...
