For me took almost 6 to 7 months for outside agencies after submiting addtional documents like garda clearance and social tax office clearance.

Thank You All, I did Apply june 2006 Request for additional document October 2008 Additional Documents Submitted Nov 2008 got Approval July 2009 it was long journey waiting, waiting, waiting and got approvel in almost 3 years time i rang to Dept 2 or 3 times for updates. I got my letter of approval atlast.

I did apply in june 2006 submited extra documents in oct 2008 rang in april said preparing for to submit minister.

Am one of 2006 batch of application too.

My update.

I rang INIS they said my application is ready to be submit to the Minister for a decision. They said I should get the minister’s decision in 6 to 8 weeks.

Timeline summary: Applied in june 06, sent addtional documents in
oct 08.
